The Hub Program

Join the Hub Program

Hubs are where ARC members build things together. Start with the overview, then pick a tab: Programs you can take part in, Projects members are building, your own Specialty Hub, and the structural Hubs that build ARC.

What a Hub is

A Hub is a small team of members working together inside ARC. Each Hub has up to five members. Together they bring their skills, time, knowledge and relationships to build something useful.

Every Hub has a Facilitator, who helps bring the right people together, keeps the Hub moving and keeps the Hub's record.

How Hubs grow

Hubs grow as a tree: when a Hub is full, the next members start a Hub below it. Every Hub is built in five stages, from E to A:

  1. E · Invite

Inviting people in to see the project, and to be invited to take part.

  2. D · Set up

Getting people set up. For a new Hub member, that means being introduced to the project and the Hub's current members.

  3. C · Define

The Hub starts defining the project: setting meeting times and the first tasks for the Facilitator.

  4. B · Test

Testing the idea, getting feedback and refining how the project is structured.

  5. A · Formalise

The project is formalised into a legal structure and registered as a company, and it becomes an official ARC asset. It can then be duplicated, so other members can take it on.

The four types of Hub

Specialty Hubs

Each member belongs to one Specialty Hub, set when they join ARC from the work they do. See the My Specialty Hub tab.

Program Hubs

Programs members work inside, such as a Founders program. See the Programs tab.

Project Hubs

Where members collaborate on something they are building together and walk it from E to A. See the Projects tab.

Structural Hubs

The Hubs that build ARC itself. See the Structural Hubs tab.

ARC credits

ARC credits are how ARC recognises the actions that build our community. They are a credit to use within ARC - not money and not profit share, never transferred or paid out for cash.

Please note: ARC credits will be valid once the ARC credits program is approved. Until then, any credits shown are a record of your participation.

Here's what earns ARC credits (signed-in members see the full, current list):
