Before you write: ARC writing guidelines
- Write from your own experience. A real example, a number from your work, a lesson you learned - that is what members come for.
- One clear topic the reader can use, a title that says what they will learn, and at least 300 words.
- Your own words. No copying (other people’s articles or your own earlier ones). AI can help you plan, but the voice and the examples must be yours - articles that read as pasted AI text are flagged.
- Teach, don’t sell. Leave out “call now”, discounts and sales lines - attach your offer at the end instead.
- Back up claims. No guarantees or “best in Australia” without proof.
- Regulated topics (financial or investment advice, tax, legal, medical or health): unless it is your profession, share your experience rather than advice and suggest readers speak to a qualified professional.
- A few links that help the reader, not a list of links. Short paragraphs, with a blank line between them.
Your first 3 articles are checked by ARC before they go live. After that, your articles go live when you publish them, and you can edit them any time. Every article also gets an automatic quality check.
Your article
Plain text: a blank line starts a new paragraph and links become clickable. Place an image anywhere by putting its marker, like [image 1], on its own line.
Images
Add up to 12 images. Each one is stored with this article; use “Place in text” to put it where you want it, otherwise it appears after the text.
Add your offer
Attach one of your existing ARC offers. It appears at the end of the published article as “Interested in this service?”.
Publish as
You can publish this article on behalf of a not-for-profit you represent. It still shows you as the writer, and it appears on the organisation’s profile.
